when words fail me, which is often, I paint. When words work for me and are available on time, I am surprised.

Kidnapped
Last Saturday after work I was accosted by three pirates on my front deck.
Kidnapped really.
One case of PINOT EVIL, YArrgghh!
We were whisked away through winding roads and landed in a field near the end of the world.
Pirate, drinking, dancing, debauchery all around.
Sunday morning, head ache.
Sunday afternoon, jumping naked into the rapidly rushing forty-five degree-frigid- freaking river.(actually I had my SuperGirl panties on)
Save the ship, save the Pinot Evil. Yaarrrghhh!
All week long, looking for that lost piece of my brain.
Pirates, yarrgghh, please not tonight. We're scared to go home.

Ah, what's that like? I've seen it in oplaces but was not too sure if something that cutesy would taste good.
Stacy,
I've always felt a kinship w/ pirates. We share a mutual aversion to ninjas.
TG- as a confirmed wine-o-phile, this stuff is good! all the old favs pale in comparison.
Matt- I hate Ninjas, they are like Bodachs, yargh!
Thank God for the Supergirl panties. Yaargh!
Ok, I'll try some next weekend. Thank you.
i think it was orson welles who said, "we will pinot noir before its time." but, come to think of it, he could have been saying, "we will pinot noir before it's time," like in maine where you can't get a drink before 9 a.m. on sunday.
which is, actually, pretty darned liberal, because in alabama, where i grew up, you can't get a drink on sunday, period. unless you know where to go, and then you gotta pay bootlegger prices. i remember there was a place on goldwire, charged three times the regular price for beer on sunday, and they had to know you were cool before they'd even consider selling it to you. and, yes, i paid the man and said, "thank you."
and the bars closed at midnight on saturday! and, i guess the moral of the story is, if you can say that something as sinful as drinking has a "moral," i guess the moral is, "make damned sure you stock up on liquor before midnight saturday. if you live in alabama. and you want to get the best price."
i'm not sure how the hell i feel about pirates...
Sounds like your weekend was far better than mine.
I love Pinot Noir like I would a child. So buttery. Definitely worth walking the plank for.
Thanks for stopping by, honey. I'll definitely be back--you're fun!
